Sony Latin imprint Orianna announces a reissue of pop reggaeton classic “La Bomba” by Azul Azul with a fresh remix from Venezuelan electropico maestro, Mr. Pauer. The remix drops worldwide across digital platforms via Sony Latin imprint Orianna.
Bolivian pop-rock-dance outfit Azul Azul took the world by storm with their 1999 global hit “La Bomba”. Reaching #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Songs and Tropical Songs charts on its release, the song has achieved over 16M in sales and 69M streams on Spotify.
“‘La Bomba’ saved my life artistically and economically and has allowed me the opportunity to give thousands of concerts around the world,” says Fabio Zambrana, singer and songwriter of Azul Azul. “I composed it in 1998 and it became the number one Latin song in the world certified by Billboard magazine. They say that the only title greater than world hit is given by time, and that title is called ‘world classic,’” he adds. “This new mix by Mr. Pauer confirms that ‘La Bomba’ has overcome the barrier of time.”
Venezuelan Latin Grammy nominated producer Mr. Pauer reimagines the song into a fresh and funky dance floor destroyer. “I’m talking Latin rhythms that’ll have you shaking your hips like a maraca, mixed with a dash of 90’s merengue hip hop, all wrapped up in a sweet house beat that’ll have you bouncing like a beach ball in the summer,” says Pauer. “And let’s not forget about those lyrics. ‘Las discotecas lo ponen!’ That means the party’s on fire! So grab your dancing shoes, get your groove on, and get ready to BOMBA!”
Zambrana adds “Almost 25 years on from the original ‘La Bomba’ release, the amazing Mr. Pauer has created a spectacular and powerful new mix. I can only feel blessed, I can only say thanks.” He continues, “I am looking forward to singing ‘La Bomba’ on a stage with you, Mr. Pauer, in some part of this beautiful world.”
